Position Overview

SónChiraiya is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer (Pattern Design) to create original patterns and surface designs for our luxury Kota Zari saree collections. The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of traditional Indian motifs, color combinations, textile aesthetics, and market trends while translating creative concepts into production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities
Design original patterns, motifs, borders, pallus, and all-over prints for sarees and other textile products.
Develop seasonal and thematic design collections aligned with the SónChiraiya brand identity.
Create digital artwork using design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
Prepare repeat patterns and production-ready files for weaving and printing.
Research fashion, textile, color, and design trends to inspire current collections.




Work closely with the production and merchandising teams to ensure design feasibility.
Develop colorways and design variations for existing collections.
Maintain a library of design concepts, motifs, and artwork.
Ensure all designs meet quality, aesthetic, and brand standards.
Coordinate with artisans and the production team to execute designs accurately.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of pattern development and repeat creation.
Excellent understanding of color theory and textile design principles.
Creativity with a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of traditional Indian textile motifs and contemporary design trends.
Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Surface Design, or a related field.
1–4 years of experience in textile or pattern
