Qualification
B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid Nursing Council registration.
Experience
1–3 years of experience as a Scrub Nurse in an Operation Theatre.
Experience in handling multiple surgical specialties is preferred.
Responsibilities
Prepare the operating theatre before surgical procedures.
Ensure all surgical instruments, implants, and consumables are available and sterile.
Assist surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field throughout the procedure.
Count instruments, needles, and sponges before, during, and after surgery.
Adhere to hospital infection control and patient safety protocols.
Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate OT records and documentation.
Handle surgical specimens according to hospital policy.
Report equipment malfunctions and ensure proper maintenance of OT instruments.
Participate in emergency surgeries and on-call duties as assigned.
