Job Summary

The DGM/GM Contracts is responsible for overseeing the complete contract lifecycle for projects, vendors, clients, and subcontractors. The role includes contract drafting, negotiation, administration, compliance management, risk mitigation, claims handling, and commercial support to ensure organizational interests are protected while maintaining solid business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management
Lead end-to-end contract management activities for projects.
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, MoUs, P/O, W/O and amendments.
Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain contract documentation, records, and tracking systems.

Commercial & Risk Management
Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Review tender documents, bid conditions, and commercial terms.
Support pricing, variations, escalation clauses, and payment terms negotiations.
Handle contract disputes, claims, arbitration support, and settlement discussions.





Project Coordination
Coordinate with project, procurement, finance, legal, and operations teams.
Monitor contract execution and ensure obligations are fulfilled by all parties.
Support project teams on contractual interpretations and issue resolution.

Vendor & Client Management
Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Evaluate subcontractor agreements and procurement contracts.
Ensure timely resolution of contractual issues and claims.

Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and corporate governance requirements.
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, timelines, deliverables, and penalties.
Conduct periodic audits of contracts and commercial practices.

Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the contracts team.
Develop SOPs, templates, and best practices for contract management.
