Position Overview

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Operations & Maintenance will be responsible for the overall management of plant operations, maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and performance optimization. The role requires a seasoned skilled with extensive experience in thermal power plant operations, particularly in CFBC-based plants, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring uninterrupted plant performance.

The incumbent will play a key role in planning, execution,



and monitoring of operational activities while ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, environmental norms, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management
Ensure smooth, safe, and effective operation of the power plant.
Monitor plant performance parameters and take corrective actions to achieve targeted generation levels.
Optimize plant efficiency, fuel consumption, and operational costs.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant operations.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

Maintenance Management
Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
Develop maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
Lead major shutdowns, annual overhauls, and turnaround activities.
