Java Support/Developer Bangalore, Chennai · Full time · Hybrid

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Java engineer to build and support Java Spring Boot microservices, integrating with databases, message brokers, and API gateways. The role involves working with a team to design, develop, and deploy scalable, robust, and high-performance applications. Success in this role requires strong Java fundamentals, experience with database index optimization, and proficiency in containerization technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Develop Java Spring Boot microservices, integrating with databases, message brokers, and API gateways
Optimize database performance using index optimization techniques,



such as PostgreSQL
Design and develop REST APIs, with a solid understanding of HTTP and messaging protocols, including Kafka and JMS
Identify and resolve memory leaks, and perform performance tuning of Java microservices
Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks and tools
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes
Deploy applications on cloud platforms, preferably GCP
Provide 24x7 support on a rotation basis
Work independently to resolve issues and collaborate with the team to achieve goals

Requirements
Develop and support Java-based applications, with strong Java and J2EE skills
Utilize hands-on experience in Linux and shell scripting
Apply knowledge of RDBMS, including MySQL, Oracle, and Timesten
Implement web services, including REST and SOAP
Utilize debugging skills and version control tools, such as SVN and GitHub
