We are looking for an experienced Engineer to support the design, development and optimisation of scalable data pipelines and data products, with a primary focus on hands-on Spark and Scala development. The role will work within the Networks Data & AI workplace, helping to build, test and support reliable batch and streaming data solutions across large-scale platforms

Roles and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain Spark applications using Scala for high-volume data processing.
Build and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Work with data engineers, architects and product teams to deliver robust data solutions in an agile setting.
Support testing, deployment and operational readiness using CI/CD, version control and engineering best practices.
Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer and handover to permanent engineering teams.
