About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
TDS Specialist
with experience in the
e-commerce industry
to manage all TDS-related compliance, reconciliations, and tax deductions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with TDS provisions applicable to e-commerce businesses, vendor payments, marketplace transactions, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end
TDS compliance
in accordance with the Income Tax Act.
Calculate, deduct, deposit, and reconcile TDS on vendor, qualified, contractor, salary, rent, and commission payments.
Prepare and file
quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q)
accurately and within statutory deadlines.
Generate and issue
Form 16, Form 16A
, and other applicable TDS certificates.
Reconcile TDS with
Form 26AS
, TRACES, and books of accounts.
Ensure timely payment of TDS liabilities and monitor compliance deadlines.
Handle TDS notices, assessments,
and correspondence with tax authorities.
Coordinate with internal departments and vendors for TDS-related queries and documentation.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory compliance.
Work closely with finance and accounts teams to ensure accurate tax deductions.
Monitor changes in tax laws and implement necessary process updates.
E-commerce Specific Responsibilities
Handle TDS implications on
Amazon, Flipkart, FirstCry, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, Nykaa
, and other marketplace transactions.
Reconcile marketplace settlement reports with accounting records.
Verify TDS deductions made by marketplaces and ensure proper accounting.
Coordinate with marketplace finance teams for TDS certificates and reconciliations.
Manage TDS on advertising expenses, logistics partners, influencers, agencies, and third-party service providers.
