The Punching Machine Operator is responsible for operating punching machines to manufacture high-quality components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards. The operator ensures protected machine operation, performs routine maintenance, and maintains production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate punching machines as per production requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Load raw materials and ensure proper machine alignment.
Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments.
Inspect finished products using measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
Report machine malfunctions and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
Maintain production records,
inspection reports, and downtime logs.
Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
Qualifications
ITI in Mechanical or a related field.
1–3 years of experience operating punching or sheet metal fabrication machines.
Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
