The Opportunity

Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire an SDET for the Metadata team.

Your Role:
Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements
Participate in feature design and delivery, influencing decisions with a strong bias towards quality and customer delight
Design high-level test approaches and implement detailed test plans based on the requirements to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced workplace
Automate tests - executing them as part of recent feature delivery and enabling automated regression runs for subsequent releases
Analyze failures, determine root cause and drive them to resolution
Develop independent frameworks to improve development and testing processes
Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues

What you ll bring:
Strong practical understanding of databases




Ability to innovate and solve problems
Love of programming - must be rock solid in at least one of these programming languages: Python, Go, C, C++, Java
Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Ability to work independently
Strong communication skills and a solid team player
Acquaintance with Docker and/or Kubernetes is desirable
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i. e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 4 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
