Job Summary

The Assistant Accounts Manager supports the Accounts Manager in overseeing the organization's financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely data entry.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor cash flow and support daily financial operations.
Prepare and file tax returns and statutory reports as required.
Coordinate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Review financial transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.




Support payroll processing and expense reimbursements.
Prepare management reports and financial analyses.
Assist in implementing and improving accounting systems and internal controls.
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff when required.
Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
