Job Objective

Manages the Materials function along with Materials Manager within the department by overseeing the hotel procurement and ensure best quality rates available as per budget, pre-laid processes (Materials manual). Assists the Materials Department with a view to maximise profitability and achieves desired financial results.
Essential Job Tasks
Evaluating products, price and quality.
Vendor evaluations to be carried out on periodic basis.
Negotiating contracts for the hotel and working out on the agreements with suppliers for product delivery.
Monitoring the market rates on periodic basis.
Areas of Responsibility

Budgeting and Planning
Tackle requests from users in a timely fashion (Handling requisitions, Purchase orders, Receiving reports).
Maintain MIS on the procurement generate regular reports.
Ensuring timely delivery of items required to avoid stockouts.
Apt inventory management control.
Negotiation of rates deliverables for the best output.
Recent vendor product development.




Plans the import requirements in consultation with the Materials Manager.

Financials and Reporting
Assists in preparing and presenting all MIS reports to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of activities.
Assists in compliance with management contract and reporting requirements.

Internal Process
Co-ordinates with all user departments.
Follows up with all vendors and service providers.
Ensures contracts are made on time and include high value items.
Ensure all safety related requirements are communicated and practised.
Follow Materials Manual for all requirements without deviation.
Optimum usage of duty free scripts.
Follows up with all vendors conduct vendor engagement processes.
Liaises with various government agencies, Excise and Sales tax authorities, etc.
Conducts Site visits Hygiene Audits.
Responsible for removal/ disposal of scrap in responsible manner as per rul
