Field Operations Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadband, leased line, and fiber-optic network services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FTTH/FTTx, GPON, Ethernet, and ISP network infrastructure, ensuring timely service delivery and high network availability.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and commission FTTH, FTTx, GPON, Broadband, and Dedicated Leased Line (ILL) connections.
Perform fiber optic splicing, cable termination, OTDR testing, and power meter testing.
Troubleshoot network issues related to optical fiber, customer premises equipment (CPE), ONT/ONU, routers, and switches.
Install and configure enterprise networking devices, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and media converters.
Resolve field incidents within SLA timelines and coordinate with the NOC team for escalations.
Conduct preventive maintenance of fiber infrastructure and network equipment.
Support backbone, access, and last-mile network deployments.




Perform site surveys and feasibility studies for current customer installations.
Prepare installation reports, service reports, and documentation after field activities.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Maintain inventory and ensure proper handling of network equipment and tools.
Follow company safety standards and installation best practices.

Required Skills
Solid knowledge of FTTH, FTTx, GPON, Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and IP addressing.
Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, OTDR, optical power meter, and fusion splicing.
Knowledge of broadband technologies and ISP network architecture.
Experience configuring routers, switches, ONT/ONU devices, and wireless equipment.
Ability to diagnose fiber cuts, signal loss, and customer connectivity issues.
Valuable communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to work independently and in field environments.
