Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Safety Engineer
to lead Workplace, Health & Safety (EHS) activities at utility-scale solar project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the project EHS Management System, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a solid safety culture, and achieving zero incidents during project execution.
Key Responsibilities1. EHS Management
Implement the Project EHS Management Plan.
Ensure compliance with company EHS policies and client safety requirements.
Monitor compliance with applicable statutory regulations.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
Ensure safe work practices throughout project execution.
Permit to Work (PTW)
Issue and monitor PTW for:
Electrical work
Work at Height
Excavation
Hot Work
Confined Space Entry
Lifting Operations
Risk Assessment
Prepare and review:
Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
Method Statements
Secure Work Procedures
Incident Management
Report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Conduct incident investigations.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Awareness
Conduct:
Site Safety Induction
Daily Toolbox Talks
Weekly Safety Meetings
Emergency Response Training
Mock Drills
Electrical Safety
Monitor LOTO implementation.
Ensure electrical isolation procedures.
Verify earthing arrangements.
Inspect temporary electrical installations.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
Work at Height

Ladders
Anchor points
Lifting Operations
