Ensure the laboratories are clean, organized, and fully functional at all times.
Prepare laboratories before practical sessions by arranging apparatus, chemicals, specimens, and equipment as per lesson plans.
Assist teachers and students during practical classes and demonstrations.
Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in valuable working condition.
Coordinate repair, servicing, and calibration of laboratory instruments when required.

Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain accurate records of laboratory equipment, chemicals, consumables, and assets.
Conduct periodic stock verification and submit inventory reports.
Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions for procurement of laboratory materials.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
Maintain issue and return registers for laboratory apparatus.

Laboratory Safety
Ensure compliance with CBSE laboratory safety norms and school safety policies.
Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety documentation where applicable.




Ensure availability and functionality of fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, eye wash stations, and other safety equipment.
Guide students on protected handling of chemicals, glassware, electrical equipment, and laboratory instruments.
Ensure proper disposal of chemical waste and broken glass as per safety guidelines.

Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain laboratory attendance and practical records.
Keep updated records of practical schedules, equipment maintenance, stock registers, and purchase records.
Support laboratory audits and inspections.
Assist in maintaining records required for CBSE affiliation and compliance.

Academic Support
Assist faculty in preparing experiments, demonstrations, and practical assessments.
Support science exhibitions, STEM activities, Olympiads, innovation fairs, and project work.
Help develop laboratory manuals and practical worksheets when required.
