Responsible for driving sales and profitability of the assigned category by ensuring effective merchandise planning, inventory optimization, stock availability, and timely execution of merchandising strategies across stores.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and manage merchandise allocation to ensure optimum stock availability across stores.
Monitor inventory, replenishment, and sell-through to maximize sales and minimize stock imbalances.
Analyse sales trends and store performance to optimize merchandise distribution.
Coordinate with Buying, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure timely product availability.
Track category performance and recommend actions to improve sales, inventory productivity, and stock health.
Support seasonal launches, promotions, and merchandising initiatives to enhance customer experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Robust knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory management.
Proficiency in MS Excel and retail ERP/SAP.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Robust communication and coordination abilities.
EDUCATION & QUALIFIED SKILLSET
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
3–6 years
of experience in Retail Merchandising within the apparel or value retail industry.
Experience in
Menswear and/or General Merchandise
will be preferred.
