Position- Incharge Nurse-Medical & Surgical Wards/ Pediatric ward

Requirement of Qualification and experience :

Education: GNM/ B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing

Registration: Valid registration with State Nursing Council.

Experience: Minimum 8 years and above of clinical experience, with at least 2–3 years as Team-leader.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification Preferred

The Ward In-Charge Nurse is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of nursing services in the assigned ward. The role ensures delivery of protected, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, effective staff management, adherence to hospital policies, and compliance with NABH standards.




Oversee and coordinate all nursing care activities in the ward to ensure secure, effective, and patient-centered care.
Supervise ward nursing staff in medication administration, procedures, infection control, and use of medical equipment.
Monitor patient conditions, assess nursing needs, and ensure timely communication and escalation to treating physicians.
Prepare and manage duty rosters, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth shift handovers.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records, admissions, discharges, and incident reports.
Ensure availability, proper maintenance, and optimal utilization of ward equipment, drugs, consumables, and linen.
Implement and monitor infection prevention, patient safety measures, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance; address training needs, grievances, and disciplinary issues.
Coordinate with Nursing Superintendent, doctors, and multid
