Job Title: Investment Compliance Associate – AIF

Location: Surat| Type: Full time |

About the Role

Ensure all investment decisions, portfolio activity, and deal execution comply with SEBI AIF Regulations, the fund's PPM, and internal investment policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Review proposed investments against PPM strategy, restrictions, and SEBI AIF norms before execution
- Monitor portfolio limits — sector/investee concentration, diversification, leverage, related-party exposure
- Vet deal documents (term sheets, SHA/SSA, side letters) for regulatory compliance
- Flag conflicts of interest/related-party transactions to the Investment Committee
- Maintain pre-investment compliance checklists and sign-off process
- Track FEMA/ODI compliance for overseas investments (if applicable)
- Prepare investment compliance reports for IC, Trustee, and Board
- Support statutory/PPM audits and coordinate with Legal, Fund Managers, and Fund Accounting
- Monitor regulatory updates impacting permissible investments

Qualifications

- CA or CFA — mandatory




- NISM Series XIX-C (AIF) preferred, or willingness to obtain within 3 months

Experience

- 2–5 years in compliance, risk, or investments within AIF/PMS/Mutual Fund/PE-VC
- Exposure to both investments and regulatory compliance preferred

Skills

- Strong grasp of SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012 (investment conditions by category)
- Ability to read deal documents from a compliance lens
- Strong Excel and analytical skills

Key Attributes

- Detail-oriented, commercially aware, comfortable working closely with deal teams while holding the compliance line
