Job Descritpion of Maconomy Consultant

6+ Years of Relevant Experience

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maconomy Consultant with strong functional or techno-functional expertise in finance and ERP systems. This role involves understanding business requirements, managing ticket resolution workflows, and ensuring smooth ERP operations through hands-on support and stakeholder coordination. Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a Functional Subject-Matter Expert (SME) for Maconomy:
- Analyze and understand functional business requirements.
- Develop and execute transition plans for Maconomy ERP.
- Prepare documentation and lead playback/understanding sessions with stakeholders.

- Perform hands-on support tasks:

- Analyze service tickets and communicate directly with end users.
- Identify root causes and implement resolutions, configurations, or data updates.
- Review and test fixes prior to deployment across various Maconomy environments.
- Coordinate changes and obtain necessary approvals before application.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:





- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely ticket resolution.
- Manage ticket triaging and update tracking tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW) and JIRA.

Must-Have Qualifications:

- Strong finance functional or techno-functional background.
- Prior experience with ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of financial modules such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)

- For technical candidates:

- Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, and Mscript (Maconomy’s proprietary language).

- Experience with end-to-end financial processes:

- Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Order to Cash (O2C)
- Record to Report (R2R)
- Financial period-end close

- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and business users.
- Willingness to learn Maconomy ERP and perform hands-on technical support and analysis.

Good to Have:

- Prior hands-on experience with Maconomy ERP.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
- Knowledge of XML, SQL, and REST APIs.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Background in Computer Science or IT is preferred.
