Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Location: Indian Corporation Compound, Near Mankoli, Thane-Kalyan Bypass Road.
Industry: Premium Furniture / Sofa Manufacturing

Job Purpose:

The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that every piece of furniture leaving our factory meets the highest standards of luxury, durability, and craftsmanship. You will oversee quality at every stage—from the arrival of raw timber and fabric to the final "sit-test" and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Raw Material Inspection (Inward QC):

- Timber/Frames: Check wood moisture content and inspect for knots, cracks, or warping.
- Foam: Verify foam density and resilience against approved samples.
- Upholstery: Inspect fabric and leather for color shading, weaving defects, or scratches (especially for premium leather).
- Hardware: Check the quality of springs, webbing, and recliner mechanisms.

2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC):

- Frame Structure: Ensure joints are sturdy and the frame is perfectly level.
- Sewing & Stitching: Monitor stitch density and ensure seam alignment is perfectly straight.
- Upholstery Fitting: Check that the fabric is pulled with uniform tension—no loose wrinkles or over-stretched areas.

3. Final Product Inspection (FGQC):

- Comfort Test: Perform "sit-tests" to ensure the cushioning and ergonomics match the design specifications.
- Aesthetics:



Inspect for any visible glue marks, loose threads, or dust on the premium finish.
- Functionality: Test all moving parts, including headrests, sofa-bed pull-outs, or recliner motors.
- Symmetry: Ensure that arms, backrests, and cushions are perfectly symmetrical.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain daily QC logs and "Pass/Reject" reports.
- Identify recurring defects and work with the production team to solve the root cause.
- Verify that the correct labels and protective packaging are used before dispatch.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Experience: 2–5 years as a QC Inspector in Furniture or Sofa manufacturing. Experience with high-end/export-quality brands is a major plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurement sheets.
- Familiarity with upholstery tools and testing methods.
- Knowledge of different wood types, foam grades, and fabric textures.
- Soft Skills:
- Uncompromising attention to detail.
- Solid communication to explain defects to the labor team.
- Firmness in rejecting sub-standard work.
- Education: ITI/Diploma in Woodworking, Interior Design, or a related field.
