Role Summary:

The EHS Officer is responsible for conducting comprehensive plant safety inspections and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions. This role involves communicating identified hazards to relevant personnel and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and followed up. The officer will organize and deliver EHS-related training sessions and awareness programs to enhance safety culture. They will implement and audit work permit procedures, investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed investigation reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence. The role includes maintaining and retaining EHS documents and records, displaying safety signage in local languages, and ensuring the availability of first aid kits at convenient locations. The officer will coordinate environmental sampling, monitoring, and analysis in compliance with GPCB permissions and be familiar with GPCB XGN operations. They will manage waste, including solid and hazardous waste, ensuring proper collection, segregation, storage, labeling, transport, and disposal via XGN manifests. Proficiency in operating and maintaining STP/ETP/ETP RO/MEE systems is required. The officer will also oversee the testing, operation, and maintenance of fire detection and protection systems and ensure biomedical waste and scrap are sent to registered vendors as required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by senior management, and the officer will assist the EHS Head in implementing and administering the organization's EHS goals and objectives.

Role Responsibility:
