About the Role

Jayair Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically strong Design Manager to lead the design and engineering activities for HVAC projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing the design team, reviewing technical drawings, ensuring design accuracy, and coordinating with sales, project, and execution teams.

Candidates with relevant experience in the HVAC industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the HVAC design and engineering team.
- Develop and review HVAC system designs based on project requirements.
- Prepare and approve technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and design documents.
- Review HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, ducting, piping, and system layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project, sales, procurement, and execution teams for smooth project delivery.
- Review BOQs, technical specifications, and equipment selections.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, architects, and other stakeholders for design-related requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical and design issues during project execution.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure timely completion of drawings and engineering deliverables.
- Manage design changes, revisions, and technical documentation.




- Provide technical guidance and support to the design team.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of design solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies, standards, and design practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in design and engineering.
- HVAC industry experience will be an added advantage / preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, equipment selection, and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and other HVAC design software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of HVAC load calculations, ducting, piping, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
