- Scan items using barcode scanners or enter product codes manually.
- Accept payments including cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks, or mobile wallets.
- Calculate and return correct change for cash purchases.
- Issue receipts, coupons, or gift cards.

Customer Service

- Greet customers with a friendly attitude as they arrive and leave.
- Answer questions regarding product locations, prices, or store policies.
- Bag or wrap items carefully for safe transport.
- Handle returns or exchanges according to established store rules.

Register Management

- Count drawer money at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Balance totals to match register receipts with cash and card sales.
- Report discrepancies or drawer shortages to a manager immediately.

Area Maintenance

- Keep the checkout station clean, organized, and free of clutter.
- Restock supplies like receipt paper, bags, and cleaning wipes.
