Job Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for handling the product Engineering portfolio includes responding to customer RFQs, Project Execution, addressing technical queries with CFT, engineering changes and value engineering.

Interaction with Sales/ BD pertaining to Products, customer requirements

Interactions on responding to customer RFQs from a costing perspective

Interactions on customer requirements, feedback, technical support, etc

Interactions on identifying / managing partnerships in terms of technical / geographical alliances

Should have the knowledge of basics of Electrical wiring harness, power and signal distribution system of a unit, preferably Aerospace, Defence & Marine Domain

Should have valuable knowledge on understanding customer technical documents like drawing, wire schematic/wire list, Bill of materials, specifications

Should have good knowledge on wiring harness components, proposing alternates

Should have fair knowledge on manufacturing processes in wiring harness

Should have exposure to quality system requirement

Exposure to manufacturing industries is preferred

Handles the product engineering aspects through internal initiatives as well as external partnerships

Lead the Feasibility (Technical & commercial), Process designing, concurrent activities & development activities for new products

Hands- on experience in various Activities related to product development activities including designing through solidworks modelling, understanding aerospace requirements,





Executing projects involving scoping and execution within cost & time parameters; coordinating the project activities and drawing specifications with the clients to ensure product design as per client specifications.

Studying feasibility of the project

Operating as In- charge of the project from start to end (studying project feasibility, prepare BOM, supplier identification, Query resolution with customer, Supporting Manufacturign Engg Teram during FAI build, Change Management)

Should have Good knowledge on change mangement & obsolete management

Usage of ERP (SAP) is an added advantage

Should have fair knowledge on softwares like CATIA V5 Electrical wiring, 3D to 2D flattening.

Analyzes the RFQs received through Sales/BD to understand customer requirements

Carries out a feasibility study to assess whether current products will meet the requirements as is or with customization at the offered price and timeline

In case of customization or new product to be developed, conducts a cost-benefit analysis with inputs from Head Engineering , SCM and Finance

Decides on the response to the customer whether the requirements can be met as per RFQ or any alternative offering that can be proposed

Once the decision is approved by Head Engineering & Development, communicates the same to customer through Sales/BD

Follows-up through Sales/BD on any technical clarifications, feedback from customer, etc.

Analyzes the Customer requirement, feasibility & prepare BOM, Manufacturing hours

Identifies the gaps, propose possible alternates/equivalents as needed

Supports the Head Engineering in providing the technical assistance to customers
