Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Quality to lead Quality Assurance, Process Quality, Supplier Quality, and New Product Development (NPD) activities in an automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have solid exposure to forging and machining processes, IATF 16949 core tools, supplier quality management, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)

- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Ensure compliance with internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Drive implementation of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and related quality standards.

Process & Product Quality

- Monitor and improve quality performance across forging and machining operations.
- Reduce in-process rejection, customer complaints, and non-conformists.
- Conduct product audits, process audits, Production Trial Runs (PTR), and pilot batch approvals.

Supplier Quality Assurance

- Develop supplier process capability and monitor supplier PPM performance.




- Conduct supplier audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, and other problem-solving tools.

Metrology & Measurement

- Manage metrology laboratory and calibration activities.
- Ensure measurement system accuracy using equipment such as Roughness Tester, Profile Projector, Trimos, and other precision instruments.

New Product Development (NPD)

- Lead PPAP activities for new product development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for drawing review, specification alignment, and quality planning.
- Support process validation, capability studies, and successful product launches.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality within Automotive Manufacturing.
- Strong exposure to Forging and Machining processes.
- Hands-on experience with IATF Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
