Job Description: A steel manufacturing foreman supervises daily shop floor operations, coordinating steelworkers and fabricators to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Key duties include interpreting blueprints, managing production schedules, mentoring staff, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining equipment. Key Responsibilities

- Production Management: Oversee daily fabrication or production, ensuring targets are met and workflows are productive.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor technicians, welders, and fitters.
- Safety Enforcement: Conduct safety briefings, enforce PPE usage, and ensure compliance with occupational health standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications and technical drawings.
- Technical Operations: Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and material specifications.
- Resource Allocation: Manage inventory, tools, and equipment to prevent downtime. Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in a steel plant, heavy industrial workshop, or structural steel erection.




- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in fabrication processes, welding, and machine operation.
- Leadership: Strong communication, troubleshooting, and personnel management abilities.
- Physical Ability: Capable of standing for long periods and operating heavy machinery if necessary. Tools & Techniques

- Equipment: Familiarity with forklifts, cranes, welding machines, and CNC machinery.
- Software: Experience with project tracking or crew management software is often required.
