S3 — Senior Associate

The studio pillar — owning multiple sites simultaneously and developing the team around you.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Associate is the most senior individual contributor in the design team. You own multiple active sites simultaneously, provide leadership and mentorship to the full design team, and are a trusted operational partner to the Principal Designer. You are accountable not just for your own projects but for the overall production health of the studio.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple active project sites simultaneously
- Set and monitor production schedules, drawing trackers, and team workloads across sites
- Serve as primary client escalation point for senior or complex projects
- Conduct design and drawing reviews across the team — maintain quality standards
- Identify and address skill gaps in the team through mentoring and on-the-job coaching
- Partner with the Principal Designer on studio process,



systems, and capacity planning
- Lead vendor and contractor relationships across multiple projects
- Represent the studio in client meetings where the Principal is unavailable

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 10+ years in interior design, with a track record of leading multiple high-end residential projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of 4–8 designers
- Robust process orientation — able to build and maintain tracking systems for a busy studio
- Exceptional client communication and escalation management skills
- Deep knowledge of Kolkata's contractor, vendor, and materials ecosystem

COMPENSATION

As per studio S3 band. Salary is discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with experience and skill level demonstrated.
