Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a WordPress Developer based in the Pune District, with some flexibility for work-from-home. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites that effectively showcase Wrig Productions’ services and client work. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating themes and plugins, implementing front-end designs, optimizing site performance, ensuring responsive layouts across devices, and maintaining site security and backups.

The role also involves collaborating with designers, content creators, and marketing team members to translate creative concepts into functional web experiences, troubleshooting technical issues, and continuously improving user experience and site accessibility.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Web Development and Back-End Web Development skills, including experience with WordPress core, themes, and plugins.




- Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, such as proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integration of designs into WordPress.
- Candidates should possess Web Design and Responsive Web Design skills to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and mobile-optimized interfaces.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with PHP, MySQL, and REST APIs, along with basic SEO and website performance optimization, are beneficial.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards is preferred.
- A background in building portfolio or media-rich websites and the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment are advantageous.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites.
- Work with Elementor, themes and plugins.
- Create landing pages and make website updates.
- Write website content, blogs, product/service pages and CTAs.
- Research technical/B2B topics and simplify them into engaging content.
- Implement basic SEO, on-page optimization and internal linking.
- Ensure websites are responsive, fast and user-friendly.

Requirements
- Good WordPress + Elementor knowledge.
- Basic HTML/CSS.
- Strong English writing and grammar.
- Good research and content-writing skills.
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Creative eye for website layouts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Good to have: SEO tools, Google Search Console, GA4, basic Figma/Canva and knowledge of GEO/AEO. Ideal CandidateSomeone who can understand a business, write positive content and turn it into a professional website—not just someone who manages WordPress.
