Role & responsibilities -

- Conduct initial assessment and examination of patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall clinical condition.
- Attend to emergency and urgent medical situations promptly.
- Assist Consultant Doctors during OPD, IPD, procedures, and clinical emergencies.
- Take detailed patient history and maintain accurate medical records.
- Prepare and update patient case sheets and treatment notes.
- Follow doctors' instructions regarding medication, investigations, and treatment plans.
- Monitor patients before and after procedures.
- Coordinate with nursing staff regarding patient care and treatment.
- Review investigation reports and immediately inform the concerned Consultant of any critical findings.
- Ensure timely administration of prescribed medicines and treatments.
- Handle medical emergencies and arrange appropriate escalation when required.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, referrals, and discharge procedures.
- Provide appropriate medical advice within the scope of the RMO's qualification and hospital protocols.




- Ensure proper documentation of all clinical activities and incidents.
- Maintain effective communication with patients and their relatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in duty handovers and communicate significant patient updates to the next shift RMO.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Coordinate with laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and other hospital departments as required.
- Perform any other clinical responsibilities assigned by the Medical Director or Consultant.
