The Steward is responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service to guests while ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires a guest-first mindset, attention to hygiene standards, and effective coordination with the kitchen and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests courteously and attend to their needs promptly
- Serve food and beverages as per defined service standards
- Set up tables, dining areas, and service stations before service
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness during and after service
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards are strictly followed
- Assist kitchen and service staff during peak hours
- Handle guest requests and basic complaints professionally
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: 12th Pass (High school diploma preferred)
- Experience: 0–3 years in hospitality, restaurant, or guest service roles
- Prior experience as a steward/waiter is an added advantage
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit to stand for long hours and carry trays/items
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
