Test Planning & Execution
- Assist in preparation and execution of vehicle-level test plans.
- Conduct road tests, track tests, and lab evaluations for EV systems (battery performance,
vehicle range, acceleration, braking, thermal performance, durability).
- Support functional validation for subsystems (HV system, drivetrain, thermal management,
charging).
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during testing activities.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Record test data using DAQ (data acquisition) systems, telematics, and measurement tools.
- Perform preliminary data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and issues.
- Support root-cause analysis with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Reporting & Documentation
- Document test conditions, results, and observations in structured reports.
- Support test case traceability with respect to requirements and standards.
- Escalate critical issues to senior engineers for further analysis.
Collaboration
- Work with subsystem teams (Battery, Powertrain, Chassis, Thermal) to validate integration at
vehicle level.
- Interface with suppliers and test agencies for certification and homologation support.
- Assist in vehicle instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance of test vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of EV architecture (battery, motor, inverter, charging, VCU).
- Familiarity with vehicle testing standards (AIS, ISO, UNECE).
- Knowledge of instrumentation and sensors (thermocouples, CAN loggers, GPS, accelerometers).
- Tools: CAN tools (CANalyzer, CANoe), MATLAB basics, Excel/Python for data analysis.
- Driving license for commercial vehicles (preferred but not mandatory).
