Role Description The UX/UI Researcher role at HummingBird is a full time hybrid position based in New Delhi, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. In this role, the UX/UI Researcher will plan and conduct user research across the talent lifecycle, including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and contextual inquiries with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.

The person will analyze qualitative and quantitative data, synthesize insights, and translate findings into clear recommendations for product, design, and engineering teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with UX/UI designers and product managers,



mapping user journeys, identifying pain points, and helping shape Responsible AI experiences that are intuitive, ethical, and inclusive. The UX/UI Researcher will also contribute to design thinking workshops, create research artifacts (personas, user flows, and reports), and support continuous improvement of the platform’s experience and engagement strategies.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Human Computer Interaction and UX Research, with the ability to design and execute user-centered studies.
- Demonstrated experience in User Research methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys) and applying Design Thinking to solve complex product problems.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, derive actionable insights, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and interest in researching AI-driven products, especially in HRTech or talent platforms.
- Proficiency with common research and collaboration tools (e.g., usability testing platforms, survey tools, Figma, Miro, or similar).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present research outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams; prior experience in SaaS or recruitment/HR technology
