Job Description: A Senior Accountant manages complex accounting operations, ensures financial compliance, prepares detailed reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), analyzes financial data for insights, oversees general ledger/reconciliations, supports budgeting/forecasting, improves processes, and often mentors junior staff, requiring strong analytical skills, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel. They act as a key link between junior accountants and senior management, handling complex tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial records. Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards (GAAP).
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Oversee and perform complex account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintain the general ledger .

- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal policies; assist with risk assessments and internal controls.

- Analysis & Forecasting: Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual),



provide financial insights, and support budgeting/forecasting processes.

- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.

- Auditing: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, preparing documentation as needed.

- Leadership/Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff, delegating tasks and reviewing their work.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
