Job Description: A General Manager (GM) for a Coal Washery leads all operational, maintenance, and production activities to ensure maximum plant efficiency, high-quality coal output, and strict safety/environmental compliance. They manage budgets, optimize resources, and oversee daily processing to achieve targeted production and profitability. Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Production & Operations: Oversee daily coal washing operations, raw coal handling, and product quality (meeting specs for ash, moisture, etc.).
- Maintenance Management: Ensure maximum plant uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste disposal and rehabilitation.
- Financial & Resource Management: Prepare and manage operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets, optimize consumable costs, and manage inventory/spares.
- Team Leadership & Optimization: Lead, mentor, and train staff (engineers,



operators, technicians) to achieve productivity targets.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze Process MIS reports regarding production, recovery, and cost of production (COP).

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Several years of experience in coal beneficiation, process, and plant operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of coal washing techniques, plant machinery, and maintenance strategies.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Robust ability to analyze data to improve throughput and efficiency.

Typical Experience Level

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Industry Experience: 15+ years in Coal Washery, with senior management experience.
