Position: Quality Head
Location: Nilganj
Department: Quality Assurance & Control
Reports To: Plant Head /CEO/Director
Job Summary:
The Quality Head is responsible for establishing and managing the quality assurance system for the
bearing manufacturing unit. This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, improving
product quality, leading audits, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance
efficiency and reduce defects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management & Compliance
 Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001,
IATF 16949 & other industry standards.
 Ensure strict adherence to product specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory
standards.
 Lead and manage internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring compliance and
certification renewals.
 Establish quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures for raw materials, in-
process, and finished bearings.
2. Process & Product Quality Improvement
 Monitor manufacturing processes, materials, and finished goods to identify defects and
deviations.
 Implement statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing techniques
for defect reduction.
 Analyze root causes of quality issues and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
 Work closely with the production, R&D;, and maintenance teams to enhance process
reliability and efficiency.
3. Supplier & Customer Quality Management
 Establish supplier quality control standards and conduct vendor audits for raw materials &
components.
 Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure high-quality raw materials and
components.
 Handle customer complaints & warranty claims,

measures.

 Maintain close communication with customers and stakeholders to align quality standards
with expectations.
4. Team Leadership & Training
 Lead and mentor the quality assurance and quality control teams.
 Conduct regular training programs on quality standards, inspection techniques, and
continuous improvement tools.
5. Reporting & Documentation
 Prepare quality reports, KPIs for senior management.
 Maintain records of test reports, inspection data, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and
CAPA documentation.
 Ensure documentation compliance with ISO, IATF, and customer-specific requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
✅ Strong knowledge of bearing manufacturing processes, metallurgy, heat treatment, and
machining.
✅ Expertise in quality tools & methodologies (SPC, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP).
✅ Proficiency in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality standards.
✅ Hands-on experience in CMM, hardness testers, surface finish testers, and other precision
measuring instruments.
✅ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
✅ Ability to manage customer and supplier relationships effectively.
✅ Strong communication, presentation, and team-building skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
�� Education: Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering /
Metallurgy or related fields.
 Experience: 10+ years in Quality Assurance & Control in a bearing or precision manufacturing
industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
 Certifications (Preferred): Lead Auditor Certification (ISO/IATF).
