Prepare the OT, instruments, equipment, and supplies for transplant procedures.

Receive and verify the patient before surgery, including identity and procedure verification.

Assist surgeons and anesthetists during transplant procedures.

Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout the surgery.

Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment appropriately.

Monitor the patient’s vital signs and clinical condition during the procedure.

Ensure proper handling, identification, documentation, and transfer of transplant organs/specimens as per hospital protocol.

Maintain accurate OT records, surgical checklists, and nursing documentation.

Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, transplant coordinators, blood bank, laboratory, and other departments.

Ensure availability of blood products, medications,



implants, and other required supplies.

Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management, and patient-safety standards.

Assist with counting instruments, needles, swabs, and other materials before and after surgery.

Participate in emergency management and provide immediate nursing support when required.

Ensure proper handover of the patient to the recovery room/ICU after surgery.

Maintain confidentiality and provide qualified and compassionate patient care.

Follow hospital policies, NABH standards, and transplant-specific protocols.
