Through the SCRIPTS Asia platform, JPXI provides investor relations documentation, event transcripts, and data coverage for regional corporate events.

The production team relies on a network of remote, freelance transcription and editing specialists to ensure high-quality, accurate documentation of financial meetings, earnings calls, and corporate presentations.

& Nature of Work

- Employment Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor (Non-Full Time). This is a work-at-home role; while it is not a full-time position, successful hires may work with us long-term as independent contractors.
- Work Schedule: Flexible / Project-Based. Contractors submit their available work hours and may apply for specific audio assignments from the company queue as projects become available. Assignment is based on project needs and availability.
- Seasonal Availability: Work volume fluctuates throughout the year, with peak demand typically occurring in late January to February, late April to May, late July to August, and late October to November.
- Core Objective: Review recorded corporate events and systematically proofread machine-generated transcripts against the source audio, ensuring accuracy in content, grammar, and terminology.

Key Responsibilities

- Transcript Quality Assurance: Correct spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors while aligning transcripts with the spoken dialogue. Follow the internal SCRIPTS Asia Style Guide.
- Financial & Corporate Terminology: Research and accurately identify company names, executive speakers,



product names, and industry-specific terminology.
- Turnaround Management: Maintain consistent productivity to meet deadlines within fast-paced financial reporting cycles.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Technical Efficiency: Ability to maintain a 4:1 completion ratio (e.g., complete QA editing of a 60-minute audio file within 4 hours or less).
- Language Proficiency: Near-native or fluent English with strong listening comprehension, including the ability to understand diverse accents, fast speech, and variable audio quality.
- Equipment: A secure personal computer (PC or Mac), high-quality headphones, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and a licensed copy of Microsoft Word are required. Microsoft Word is mandatory to help avoid layout and formatting issues common with alternative office tools.
- Audio Playback Recommendation: Tools such as Express Scribe or InqScribe, along with hotkeys or a foot pedal, are not required but are strongly recommended. These tools improve efficiency when controlling playback (pausing, rewinding, and navigating audio).
- Availability: Ability to provide structured weekly availability (preferred days and working hours), aligned with corporate reporting cycles.

Compensation Structure

- Base Rate: JPY 3,000 for the first 30 minutes of audio.
- Additional Minutes: JPY 100 per additional audio minute beyond the first 30 minutes.

Sample Computation For a 60-minute audio assignment, the computation would be as follows:

- First 30 minutes: JPY 3,000
- Additional 30 minutes: JPY 3,000
- Total: JPY 6,000
- Payments are made via bank transfer (WISE).
