The Compute Cloud Experience team provides the integration layer for Akamai's Compute platform, supporting global infrastructure management. Core engineering teams develop services handling control plane requests, enabling data abstraction, configuration, and observability. Internal units like Support, SRE, and Trust & Safety use these tools to manage the cloud backplane. The team ensures the platform stays reliable, secure, and adaptable.

Akamai seeks an SDET to develop and improve test automation frameworks for Cloud Compute applications, requiring adaptability and attention to detail. The role demands a solutions-focused individual ready to embrace emerging technologies as the product advances.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
- Writing high quality test cases,
build automation and enhance test framework to execute the tests for Cloud Compute Experience Application
- Handling changes to existing tools to ensure that they align to Akamai's with the long-term strategy.
- Understanding product requirements and ensuring that they are covered as part of the implementation.
- Designing and implementing automated test frameworks and tools to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborating in an Agile workplace and influencing through code reviews, design process and product development
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 1+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Have experience with Python , Pytest , Unix/Linux, and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Have good understanding of REST API testing, UI automation, Infrastructure as Code, and container tools like Docker.
- Have ability to integrate automated tests
