Role Description The Tendering Engineer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, including identifying relevant tenders, reviewing technical and commercial requirements, and preparing competitive bids and quotations. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing tender documents, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to gather necessary inputs, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and commercial terms. The role also involves preparing detailed cost estimates, maintaining tender documentation,
and supporting negotiations with clients and partners.
The Tendering
Engineer will liaise with customers to clarify requirements, provide technical and commercial support, and contribute to continuous improvement of tendering processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in preparing and evaluating quotations, including cost estimation and commercial bid preparation.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret technical specifications, tender documents, and market data for competitive bid development.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, engaging with clients, and presenting technical and commercial proposals.
- Candidates should possess procurement-related skills to coordinate with suppliers, obtain pricing, and ensure timely availability of information for tender submissions.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in electrical engineering to understand product specifications, power system applications, and technical compliance requirements.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline are preferred.
- Experience in tendering, sales engineering, or project estimation in the electrical or power sector will be an advantage.
- Proficiency with MS Office and tendering/ERP tools, attention to detail, and the ability to work to strict deadlines are beneficial.
