Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Telecom Designer with suitable experience in the oil & gas / petrochemical industry to be based out of Kolkata office.

Telecom Designer shall have the below capabilities

- Shall have basic knowledge in the Telecom systems and shall be able to prepare the Telecom Block diagrams such as Telephone, CCTV, PA/GA, Access Control and LAN Systems in coordination with the Telecom Engineer.
- Capability to understand Project specific Drafting procedure complying to quality procedures of Client.
- Shall have experience in 3D Modelling and familiar with the software( SP3D/PDMS/E3D) for Modelling Telecom equipment and Trays/ducts
- Shall be familiar with AutoCAD/MicroStation software for preparation of Telecom 2D drawings.
- Shall be familiar in preparing the Telecom equipment layouts/Cable Routing Layouts for overall plant including Buildings.
- To have exposure in sizing of MCT and provide Bulk MTO to Instruments for Procurement.
- Shall be familiar in preparing Installation drawings for Telecom Systems by reviewing the vendor documentation.
- Shall have exposure in review of the IDC Documents from multidiscipline and provide inputs accordingly.




- Shall be able to coordinate with multidisciplines and provide timely inputs for designing Telecom systems in the overall plant/Refinery

Qualifications

- Diploma (Instrumentation) / ITI trained / Certification in Draftsmanship
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas / petrochemical industry
