UAE, and India.

Social Gear — a self-serve programmatic advertising and creator discovery platform,

propelled by Amazon, Google, and other open exchanges, with ZIP-code-level, territorybased,

and multicultural targeting.

The Role

This is the senior-most engineering position in the India organization. You will own the architecture of both platforms: video pipelines, watch-time monetization, wallet and payments infrastructure, programmatic ad systems, and AI-driven personalization. You’ll report directly to the founder, set the technical direction for the engineering team, and remain hands-on — writing code, reviewing designs, and authoring the HLDs and LLDs that anchor every build.

What You’ll Own





Architecture and design authority across LYKSTAGE and Social Gear

HLD and LLD documentation standards and review for all major initiatives

Distributed backend systems: microservices, event-driven pipelines, queueing, state machines

Hands-on development and code review to maintain a high engineering bar

Mentorship and growth of the engineering team; hiring input for key roles

Milestone planning, execution strategy, and delivery discipline

System reliability, scalability, and infrastructure cost efficiency across five markets

What You Bring

10+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years as an architect or technical lead

Deep expertise in Golang and distributed systems design

Track record of building and operating high-scale production systems (consumer, video,

or ad-tech preferred)

Solid fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design trade-offs

Experience with vector databases and retrieval-based systems (recommendations,

search)

Cloud (AWS preferred), SQL/NoSQL, Redis/Memcached, Kafka/RabbitMQ

Bonus Points

Video infrastructure: transcoding, CDN, streaming ad servers, CTV/OTT apps

Payments, wallets, or entitlement systems (Razorpay/Stripe integrations a plus)

AI/ML personalization, audio/video fingerprinting, or content-matching pipelines

Observability and DevOps maturity: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, CI/CD,

Docker, Kubernetes
