Role & responsibilities :
- Vehicle Control & Charger Software Development - Develop application-layer software for VCU/SCU using Model-Based Design (MATLAB/Simulink).
- Design, implement and validate software functions for EV platforms.
- Develop control strategies for torque management, contactor control, charging, thermal management, HVIL, safety interlocks, pre-charge, etc.
- Implement AC/DC charger control algorithms including CCS2, ISO 15118 communication, meter management, power-limiting strategies, safety fallback logic.
- Communication & Diagnostics - Develop CAN, CAN FD, UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostic services, Create CAN protocols, message definitions, and automated code generation for signal handling.
- Testing, Validation & Debugging - Create and execute complete functional test plans for charger and VCU/SCU systems including Functional testing
Edge-case & stress testing network dropout, power loss, E-stop scenarios
Perform SIL, MIL,
HIL testing & firmware debugging. Validate conformance to CCS2/ISO 15118 and chargervehicle interaction.
- ASPICE-Compliant Development - Prepare and maintain documentation for SWE.1SWE.5: Requirements, Architecture, Unit design & implementation
Integration & testing, Verification work products, Ensure traceability and compliance for audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - work with hardware teams, battery teams, charger teams, certification bodies (ARAI, TUV, ICAT). Support certification processes for vehicle systems and EV chargers.
Preferred candidate profile -
System engineering and controls development -
- Practical design experience from an electric vehicle background.
Experience on electric vehicle applications and software integration
