Job Title: Student Counselor

Location: Ambattur- Chennai -53

Position Type: Full-Time/Work Timing : 10.30am to 7.00pm/Sunday Holiday

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Counselor to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The Student Counselor will provide guidance, counseling services, and resources to help students succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Support students with academic planning and goal setting
- Address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges
- Assist students with college and career planning
- Develop and implement counseling programs and workshops
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Identify and refer students to external support services when needed
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate intervention

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)




- Valid counseling certification or license (if required by state/country)
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Knowledge of student development and counseling techniques

Preferred Skills

- Experience in school or academic setting
- Crisis intervention training
- Familiarity with college admissions and career guidance processes
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

Work Environment

- School, college, or university setting
- May require occasional after-school meetings or events
- Cooperative work environment with faculty and staff
