Job Title: Senior CNC Machinist

Location: Pune, India

Department: Operations

Mission To independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machines with high precision, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements. The role requires proven technical competence, consistent performance, and the ability to support junior machinists and coordinate daily shopfloor activities when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain strong safety practices and strictly follow HSE procedures.
Ensure product quality by adhering to approved standards, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines (Mazak, Mori Seiki, etc.).
Read, interpret, and verify CNC programs; perform tool path calculations, offsets, and cutting angles.
Handle complex parts and various materials including carbon steel and chrome.
Select appropriate tools, inserts, and fixtures for secure and effective utilization.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and maintain documentation.




Apply precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, dial indicators).
Achieve daily and weekly production targets while maintaining 5S discipline.
Train and mentor current machinists, share best practices, and support team coordination.
Escalate unsafe conditions or quality risks immediately.

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/ITE in Mechanical, Precision Engineering, Tool & Die, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of handson CNC machining and metal removal experience.
Must meet internal qualification standards for Machinist CNC 1 and CNC 2.

Skills
CNC machine setup and operation.
CNC program interpretation and tool offset management.
Precision measurement and material handling.
Threading technology (API/BTC/EUE and premium threading such as VAM TOP, CURRENT VAM, VAM® 21).
Strong attention to detail, autonomy, discipline, and problemsolving ability.
Commitment to safety, quality, and willingness to train others.
