Role: Solution Engineer (5-8 yrs)

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Engineer with deep expertise in building and scaling ecommerce platforms and marketplaces. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering solutions that drive seamless customer experiences, streamline operations, and scale marketplace ecosystems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms, marketplace integrations, and cloudnative architectures, as well as a strong focus on scalability, performance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

● Solution Design: Analyze business requirements for ecommerce and marketplace platforms, translating them into scalable, robust technical solutions.

● Development: Design and implement features that support marketplace scalability, including multivendor capabilities, inventory management, and agile pricing models.

● Integration Expertise: Build and integrate APIs for third-party services such as payment gateways, logistics providers, marketing tools, and seller management systems.

● Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance and availability of marketplace systems, including optimizing page load times, search functionality, and transaction processes.

● Scalability: Architect solutions to handle growing marketplace traffic, vendor onboarding, and product catalog expansion.

● Data Strategy: Work with large data sets, ensuring effective integration and processing of customer, vendor, and product data.

● Customer Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize customer and vendor journeys, including advanced search, personalization, and checkout flows.

● Compliance and Security:



Ensure marketplace compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCIDSS) and implement fraud prevention and secure payment mechanisms.

● Cloud Deployment: Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable ecommerce and marketplace systems.

● Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

● Mentorship and Leadership: Guide junior engineers and contribute to team development by sharing best practices and expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications

● Experience: 5-7 years of experience in solution engineering, with specific expertise in ecommerce and marketplace platforms.

● Ecommerce & Marketplace Systems: Experience building or scaling multi-vendor marketplaces on platforms like Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Mirakl, or custom solutions.

● Full-stack Development: Strong proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) or similar frameworks.

● API Design: Advanced knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with experience in creating and managing third-party integrations (e.g., payment, shipping, marketing tools).

● Scalable Architectures: Experience designing microservices and headless commerce solutions tailored for marketplace environments.





● Performance Optimization: Expertise in scaling high-traffic ecommerce systems, load balancing, caching, queuing, and database optimization.

● Cloud Platforms: Proven experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on scalability and reliability.

● Data Management: Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and analytics integration for actionable insights.

● DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools to ensure uptime and system health.

Preferred Skills

● Marketplace-Specific Features: Experience with commission models, dispute resolution workflows, and vendor performance tracking, ads management.

● Familiarity with advanced personalization engines and recommendation systems.

● Knowledge of multi-currency and multi-language implementation for global marketplaces.

● Experience integrating with enterprise tools like ERP, CRM, and WMS systems.

● Exposure to analytics and reporting tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Power BI
