Heat Treatment Manager

Job Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day heat treatment operations for forged components.
Handle processes such as Normalizing, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, Quenching and Stress Relieving.
Set and monitor furnace temperature, heating time, soaking time and cooling parameters.
Ensure required hardness, mechanical properties and microstructure are achieved.
Monitor heat treatment quality and minimize rejection, rework and defects.
Troubleshoot issues related to hardness variation, cracks, distortion and improper heat treatment.
Maintain heat treatment process sheets, furnace charts and batch records.
Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance departments.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of furnaces, quenching systems and related equipment.




Conduct root-cause analysis for heat treatment failures and implement corrective actions.
Train and supervise heat treatment operators and ensure SOP compliance.
Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required Skills
Robust practical knowledge of heat treatment of forged components.
Knowledge of carbon steel and alloy steel.
Positive understanding of hardness testing and microstructure.
Experience in furnace operation and process parameter control.
Good problem-solving and team-handling skills.
Experience in forging / automotive / engineering industry preferred.

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Metallurgy or related field. Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
