Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessment of patients admitted under the assigned consultant.
Monitor patients' clinical condition and identify any deterioration at an early stage.
Take and maintain proper patient history and clinical notes.
Carry out routine ward rounds and review patients as required.
Monitor vital signs, investigation reports, medication, and treatment response.
Implement treatment plans as advised by the consultant.
Inform the concerned consultant promptly regarding any significant change in the patient's condition.
Attend to patient and bystander concerns related to medical care and coordinate with the concerned team.
Ensure timely ordering and follow-up of investigations.
Review investigation reports and bring significant findings to the consultant's attention.
Prepare and maintain accurate medical documentation and case sheets.
Assist in preparing discharge summaries and ensure completion of necessary documentation.
Coordinate with nursing staff regarding patient care and treatment plans.
Attend to medical emergencies within the hospital and initiate appropriate management until further specialist intervention is available.
Coordinate with departments such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, casualty, and other clinical services.
Ensure proper handover of patients during shift changes.
Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
Participate in clinical meetings, training programmes, and quality-improvement activities when required.
Perform any other medical duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent or management.
Qualifications
MBBS from a recognised medical institution.
Valid Kerala State Medical Council / National Medical Commission registration, as applicable.
Previous hospital/IPD experience will be an advantage.
Fresh MBBS graduates with appropriate registration may also be considered, depending on hospital requirements.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹84,000.00 per month
