Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, organised, and audience-focused Social Media Manager to join Bars Across.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how to turn legal content, news, interviews, articles, and professional insights into engaging social-media content. You will help plan, create, publish, and improve content across Bars Across’ social-media platforms while building a consistent and credible global brand presence.

What Will You Be Doing?

- Plan and manage the social-media content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Create engaging posts, captions, carousels, reels, short videos, and stories.
- Repurpose legal articles, interviews, case updates, podcasts, and firm insights into platform-specific social-media content.
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging captions for legal and non-legal audiences.
- Work with the Bars Across editorial team to plan campaigns and promote published content.
- Schedule and publish content consistently across different platforms.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and audience interactions and support timely responses.
- Track performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, clicks, video views, and conversions.
- Analyse content performance and recommend improvements based on audience behaviour and platform insights.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity, brand voice, tone,



and quality standard across all social-media communication.
- Stay updated on social-media trends, platform changes, content formats, and audience-growth strategies.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong understanding of major social-media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Excellent written English with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging social-media copy.
- Good understanding of content strategy, audience engagement, and organic social-media growth.
- Ability to convert long-form content into effective short-form posts and campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Ability to independently plan, prioritise, and manage multiple content requirements.
- Creative thinking combined with a structured and data-informed approach.
- Openness to feedback, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- A strong sense of ownership, consistency, and responsibility for published content.

Good to Have

- Previous experience managing social media for a media company, law firm, skilled-services business, startup, publication, or content-led brand.
- Familiarity with Canva, social-media scheduling tools, analytics dashboards, and basic video-editing tools.
- Experience creating LinkedIn posts, Instagram reels, carousels, YouTube Shorts, and platform-specific campaigns.
- Understanding of legal, business, policy, skilled-services, or current-affairs content.
- Familiarity with social-media advertising, campaign optimisation, and audience targeting.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, website traffic, newsletters, and content-distribution strategies.
- A portfolio, social-media pages, campaigns, posts, reels, or other examples of previous work.
