Position Title: Skill Lab Technical Expert
Remuneration: Rs. 45,000/- per month
No. of Posts: 01 (One)
Duration of Position: 06 Months (September 2026 to February 2027) with the possibility of extension subject to project continuation and satisfactory performance.
Location: CHC Sandila (FRU), Hardoi District, Uttar Pradesh – (Assigned CHC)
Brief On The Organization Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Project Brief
Swasthya Connect – Digital Health Systems Strengthening Programme is an initiative of the Samuday Project by HCL Foundation which supported by IIPHG (Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar) to strengthen digital health systems and hospital operations across four Community Health Centres in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
Under the programme, IIPHG will provide technical assistance, programme management, facility mentoring, capacity building, digital health implementation support, and monitoring to improve digital adoption, patient flow, quality of care, workforce competency and data-driven decision-making across the participating facilities.
Deliverables
- Skill Lab Operationalization
Support establishment and routine functioning of the District Skill Lab at CHC Sandila. Maintain training stations, simulation mannequins, equipment, consumables, and teaching aids.
Ensure readiness of the Skill Lab for scheduled training and competency-assessment activities.
Maintain equipment and consumable inventories and report maintenance requirements.
- Training Planning and Delivery
Develop and maintain the Skill Lab training calendar in coordination with the Project Manager and project technical team. Deliver periodic simulation-based and competency-based training using modules jointly developed or adapted by IIPHG and HCL Foundation, including learning from the Samuday Project where relevant.
Contribute toward training at least 200 healthcare personnel during the project period in coordination with Project Manager.
- Clinical Competency Building
Provide practical training and mentoring in priority areas such as: Safe delivery practices
Maternal healthcare
Essential newborn care
Neonatal resuscitation
Maternal and newborn emergency response
Digital partograph utilisation
NCD-related clinical practices, where included in the approved curriculum
Infection Prevention and Control
Clinical quality and patient-safety practices
- Smart Labour Room and NBSU Support
Provide technical and bedside mentoring to Labour Room and NBSU personnel at CHC Sandila. Support appropriate use of maternal and newborn monitoring devices.
Facilitate adoption of digital partographs and other approved clinical technology tools.
Identify clinical workflow and skill gaps and provide targeted mentoring.
- Competency Assessment
Conduct pre- and post-training knowledge and competency assessments. Familiar with the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
Maintain participant-wise competency records.
Support achievement of the agreed target of at least 80% independent use of identified clinical and digital workflows, wherever applicable.
Provide refresher mentoring to personnel who require additional support.
- Documentation and Reporting
Maintain and periodically submit report in coordination with Facility Mentor and Project Manager: Training calendar

Qualification B.Sc. Nursing or higher nursing qualification; Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery (NPM) candidates may also be considered.
Mandatory certification/training as a Skilled Birth Attendant (SBA) with Protected delivery practices.
Desirable Experience And Competencies Experience in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health programmes.
Experience in clinical skills training, simulation-based training, bedside mentoring, or competency assessment.
Familiarity with Smart Labour Room systems, newborn care, digital partographs, and relevant clinical monitoring technologies.
Strong facilitation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for training monitoring and documentation.
General Instructions Selected personnel are expected to work primarily from their assigned project locations and travel within Hardoi District where required.
All personnel shall comply with applicable government health-facility protocols, confidentiality requirements, data-protection standards, and project operating procedures.
Performance will be reviewed periodically against assigned responsibilities, deliverables, attendance, quality of work, and achievement of project targets.
Contract continuation or extension will be subject to satisfactory performance, availability of project funding, and continuation of the programme.
Personnel may be assigned additional project-related responsibilities that are reasonably aligned with their role and qualifications.
