? Hiring | Senior Tax Manager – US Individual Tax | CPA Firm Experience Required

Numera is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager – US Individual Taxation to lead our US Individual Tax practice in Gurugram.

We are specifically looking for professionals who have strong experience working with US CPA firms and have managed Tax Preparers, Reviewers, and Managers.

? Role: Senior Tax Manager – US Individual Taxation

? Location: Gurugram

? Experience: 8–12 years

? Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days from office

⏰ Working Hours: 2 PM – 11 PM IST

? EA is an added advantage

What you’ll be responsible for:

- Lead and manage multiple teams comprising Tax Preparers, Reviewers and Managers
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of US Individual Tax Returns – Form 1040, 1040NR and State returns
- Review and manage complex and high-net-worth individual tax returns
- Provide guidance on tax planning and optimization strategies
- Ensure compliance with international reporting requirements including FBAR, FATCA, 8621, 3520, 3520A, 5471, 8865, etc.
- Manage client engagements from data gathering and review through filing, billing and collections
- Handle client escalations and maintain strong client relationships
- Research and interpret changing US tax regulations and guide the team on complex tax matters




- Conduct technical training and mentor team members to strengthen their US Tax expertise
- Drive quality, productivity, turnaround time, client satisfaction, and team performance
- Take complete ownership of tax delivery and ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met

Who would be a outstanding fit?

✅ 8–12 years of strong US Individual Tax experience

✅ Prior experience in a US CPA / Public Accounting firm

✅ Proven experience managing Preparers, Reviewers, and Managers

✅ Strong hands-on knowledge of US Individual Taxation and complex 1040 returns

✅ Solid client-facing and people-management skills

✅ Experience managing multiple engagements and teams in a deadline-driven environment

✅ Ability to take ownership of the overall tax delivery function

Experience with Drake or Lacerte and an EA qualification will be an added advantage.
