About the Role

ROOTT AG is looking for an R&D; Specialist with a background in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering to join our creative team developing medical devices. The role involves mechanical design, product development, engineering analysis, prototyping, testing, and preparation of manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and systems for medical devices.
Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to engineering drawings.
Apply basic knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes to product design.
Perform engineering calculations and simulations for design optimization.
Prototype, assemble, and test designs for functionality and performance.
Participate in design reviews and identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Maintain technical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.




Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development and validation.

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
Good knowledge of GD&T;.
Basic knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
Solid engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.
Interest in medical device development.
Ability to work effectively in a cooperative, multidisciplinary environment.
